Note: Psychotherapy is a term that
encompasses therapy/counseling. All therapists may be licensed and may
do psychotherapy. Only psychiatrists may prescribe medications. Psychologists
do psychological evaluations and custody evaluations. Most testing is
done by a psychologist or a specialist in testing.
