Divorce Directory - Divorce Coaching
Suggested Interview Questions
Note: A divorce coach may or may not
be a trained mental health professional. In order to be a collaborative
law coach however, they must also hold a mental health degree. In a
collaborative divorce, each party works with their own divorce coach
(help clients with decision making and goal setting) to develop a plan
of action.
A non-collaborative trained divorce coach may also
have much knowledge of the divorce situation and can be very helpful.
The difference between a divorce coach and a traditional therapist is
a psychotherapist seeks to uncover the source of the problem, i.e.,
the childhood issue from whence the conflict originates whereas a divorce
coach focuses on the situation at hand works on problem solving.
- Are you a collaborative trained divorce coach?
- What certifications and licenses do you have?
- If you are not certified, what qualifies you to
