right financial specialist to assist you in this area. Know what your
needs are, i.e., tax benefits, retirement distribution, business assessment,

- Who are your typical clients?
- What designations, certifications, or special training
do you have to qualify you to work with issues of divorce? For example,
do you hold a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, or
are you a trained Collaborative Professional? For how long have you
worked in financial planning or accounting with divorce issues?
- How do you charge for your services? Fees? Hourly?
Commissions?
Combination?
- Are you fully knowledgeable in tax matters as they
pertain to divorce?
- Do you do forensic accounting?
- Have you ever testified in court?
- Do you prepare Business Valuations? What is your
certification?
- Do you typically get involved in Settlement conferences?
- Do you know the rules for tracing separate
property?
